After nine years, we have finally put out our first audio recording. Performed on our antique seven-tone semara pagulingan, the tracklist is a mix of semara pagulingan (7 tracks) and pelegongan (3 tracks) beauties.

Here are some of our listener comments:

“It’s really fantastic - and the recording is done very, very well - everything very clearly audible and well-balanced.  Thanks for making this music available.”

Jeremy Grimshaw, Assistant Professor of Music, Brigham Young University School of Music

“The CD has arrived and I am enjoying it very much especially the tunings for Gambang Kuta, which we play in selisir.  One of my teachers was very keen on having me play pieces in different tunings, and this is something I do with my students here in Sydney.”

Peter Dunbar-Hall, Associate Professor, Sydney Conservatorium of Music

“I just wanted to tell you that your record is just gorgeous! The sound is perfect, and the pieces are lovely. Anyway, I think it’s a nice work you’re doing there with Mekar Bhuana, and good luck with the future concerts.”
